There is no one better than the other.
Bon and Brian can't be compared. It's as simple as that.
Brian is a totally different singer from Bon.
It's easy for people to say that they think Bon was better, simply because of one fact: he never had any low points in his career prior to his death. He has 'only' been with the band for 6 years or so.
Brian has been for 29 years this month.
He has seen the highs, the lows, everything.
If Bon would have lived to this day, who knows what might have happened. Would the album after Highway to hell have been more succesfull? Or would it have been a downer? Who knows?
All I know is that Brian had huge shoes to fill and he did great on the first 2 albums.
After that it wasn't just Brian who had a tougher time coming, it was the entire band.
I think the real reason that things got tougher was a combination of 2 things. Number one: the departure of Phil. Phil is the best drummer for AC/DC, although I really liked Chris, Phil is the one, not only as a drummer but as a bandmate.
Number 2: Malcolm. Remember that Mal quit the blow up your video tour to try and cope with his alcohol issue? Mal is one of the creative brains in the band along with Angus. If the brain doesn't function proparly, the band doesn't. And I think the period from where Phil was fired until Mal got his drinking problems in order (1983-1989) was the toughest period for the band. The same might have happend with Bon still alive.
After Mal sobered up, they scored a huge hit with Thunderstruck. The razors edge and ballbreaker were not the greatest albums to date but they were on their way back. And on some occasion they made another (in my opinion) great AC/DC song: Big Gun.
As far as Brian goes: he's a great guy. If people say they like Bon better because he was a great performer, that means they have never seen Brian perform. Not to take anything away from Bon but Brian is Brian and nobody can copy or replace him, and nobody could have copied or replaced Bon, meaning if they had gotten a singer who was a Bon copycat the band would have surely not be around in 2009.

I thank Bon for making AC/DC great. I thank Brian for keeping AC/DC great.
I thank Phil, Angus, Cliff and Malcolm for hanging on in their darkest hours in 1980 and I thank all the old members of the band for being part of the greatest piece of rock n roll history. If you have been in AC/DC, you are part of history. Whether you were a band member or just a crew member, or a fan, you are part of history.
It doesn't matter who the 'better' singer is. What matters is that the band is still here and with Black Ice we have a great new album.

Cheers.

true, and you're right. but i was referring to an opinion of voice. I love them bioth and they both are heroes in my eyes but i listen to bon's voice more because there is just something about it that is mesmerizing and it makes you curious what AC/DC would be like if Bon wouldn't have died

Every thing you said is 100 percent true.

Well put. I'll take either of them.

Just so well put! Apples and oranges. Bon was a street poet and it showed in his songwriting. Brian, his voice was just so powerful on the first couple of albums..make your hair stand on end! Brian's powerful stage prescence both in stature and stance is just one of the thousand things that drew me to ACDC as a youngster. Not just anybody could be up on stage beside Angus Young and still get noticed and appreciated like Jonna does!

It's great that more people are realizing that Phil didn't walk away from the guys in '83-he was sacked.Let's just be thankful that Mal had the sense to re-hire him-Ballbreake was raw,in-you-face,stripped-to-the-bones AC/DC.They had the magic back, and have kept on rockin!! Gotta love 'em!!

Each one in his style,in his time...they both are amazing rock and roll singers.About Dave Evans...well,at least he dont say anything special for me.His voice is the typical voice of a rock singer of earlier 70´s.
Coming back to the question between Bon and Brian, there´s only one thing that I want to say.Brian arrived to the band in a dangerous time, with Bon´s dead still fresh and then....they made the Back in Black album....the best Rock &roll album ever listened for me(with highway to hell).
