What does ac/dc means??

In my opinion the name ac/dc is because ac is the alternating current of the plug and dc is for the direct current inside the amplifier .... what do you think???

Angus and Malcolm took the name AC/DC from their mothers Hoover (vacuum cleaner) as Angus has said numerous times as well as the fact that his schoolboy outfit was his sisters idea and she made the first one for him.The term AC/DC refers to electricity being either AC (alternating current) like your power outlet on the wall or DC (direct current) such as a battery.I know this as I am a sparky by trade.

hate to be technical but they got the name AC/DC off the back of Angus and Malcolm's older sister Margret's sewing machine and it actually means alternate current/ direct current.
